JEFFERSONVILLE (WHAS11) – MXD Process announced it is considering moving back to Jeffersonville, Ind.

The company intends to lease a new facility at 4650 New Middle Road. This facility is larger in order to accommodate $10 million in annual sales. The $1.8 million project, contingent on the Jeffersonville City Council’s approval of incentives, is estimated to create 40 new jobs and pay an average of 10 percent above the Clark County wage.

MXD Process, formerly known as Mixer District, is a manufacturer of industrial mixers, stainless steel tanks, and batch control systems. The business was established in 2010 in Jeffersonville.

The company has operated in Louisville for the past seven years.

Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore was excited about the news.

“With the continuous upgrades in amenities and infrastructure, Jeffersonville continues to both attract and produce first-class companies like MXD Process. Their intention to return to the City of Jeffersonville is exciting news and, should the council approve the requested tax abatements this evening, the City of Jeffersonville stands ready to help ensure their current success continues into the future,” Moore said.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered MXD Process up to $320,000 in conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. These tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives.
