LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) - US Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is visiting Fort Knox on Aug. 14.
He's meeting with the new Commanding General Major General John Evans Junior.
McConnell will discuss his efforts in the recent National Defense Authorization Act to secure resources. That includes pay raises for our troops, funding for military construction projects, and energy independence at Fort Knox.
President Donald Trump signed that legislation into law Monday.
