LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A 23-year-old man was arrested Saturday night after police say he stabbed a restaurant employee.

According to a police report, Caleb Fast was asked to pay his bill at Rafferty's on Springhurst Saturday night but his credit card was declined.

Police say he then tried to leave without paying his bill and an employee tried to stop him. Officers say that's when Fast pulled out a knife and stabbed the Rafferty's employee.

The victim was taken to the hospital and police say Fast admitted to the incident.

According to police, alcohol was involved.

Fast is due in court Monday morning.
