LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Male High School collected more than 16,000 canned goods for the Salvation Army ahead of the holiday season. The school’s canned good drive is a tradition that they said is more successful every year.
"It makes you feel very proud to be at a school where the kids are so caring and giving. And the families, let's not forget them, that contributes to this effort. It makes you to feel proud to have contributed to something like this,” Asst. Principal at Male, Jeff Wise, said.
The students also raised more than $10,000 for the organization.
