Local Walmart, Sam's Club stores raise money for Norton Children's Hospital

The Children's Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising campaign runs through July 7.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Local Walmart and Sam’s Clubs stores are doing their part to help treat children who are sick or injured,

Officials say the stores kicked off their Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising campaign on Tuesday.

Money raised during the campaign will benefit Norton Children’s Hospital to fund critical treatments, pediatric medical equipment, research and charitable care.

“Every year our local associates get excited for this important fundraising effort,” Louisville Walmart store manager Brad Sturgill said in a statement. “Raising money for Norton Children’s Hospital is one of the most significant investments we make here in Louisville. People from all over the area contribute and assist in Norton’s mission.”

Officials say Walmart and Sam’s Club stores in Louisville has raised $3.4 million for Norton Children’s Hospital.

Donate $1 or more at the checkout lane or self-checkout at any Walmart or Sam’s Club store in Louisville.

The fundraising campaign runs through July 7.
