LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A JCPS special needs school bus monitor facing assault charges is expected in court today.
According to LMPD arrest records, Ramona Pait was arrested for assault in the fourth degree, or child abuse.
An arrest warrant filed in Jefferson District Court says Pait placed her hands around the victim's neck and began to shake him while yelling at him.
The document says the incident was caught on a surveillance camera and the victim's mother reportedly found red marks on her son's neck.
JCPS says she has since resigned from her position but hey did not release any further details about the circumstances of the arrest.
Pait is being held in jail with a $1,500 bond and is expected to appear in court Monday morning.
