INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -- A special prosecutor will help Indiana's government watchdog investigate allegations that state Attorney General Curtis Hill drunkenly groped a lawmaker and three legislative staffers.

Marion County Prosecutor Terry Curry's office filed a motion Tuesday asking a judge to appoint a special prosecutor who would review Inspector General Lori Torres' eventual findings on the allegations against Hill.

A judge approved that request Tuesday, but has not yet appointed a special prosecutor.

Curry says that prosecutor will review Torres' findings and determine whether Hill will face any criminal charges.

An internal legislative memo leaked to media outlets says a lawmaker and three legislative staffers allege Hill drunkenly the four women during a March party in Indianapolis.

Hill has denied the allegations and called them "vicious and false." He's rebuffed calls to resign.
