LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police have arrested a serial bank robber accused of robbing eight banks, including three in Jeffersonville.

Investigators said Samuel Gregg of Indianapolis not only confessed to the crimes, but they found the robbery demand note in his home.

“The MO was identical each time. He operated in the same manner every time. The way he entered the bank, the way he exited the bank, how he approached the cashier. He would always open a bank book and present the note from the bank book and the weapon that we were able to observe through video was identical,” Detective Todd Hollis of the Jeffersonville Police Department said.

Gregg is charged with the First Savings Bank robbery which happened on Monday. More charges from previous bank robberies are pending at this time.

He is being held in the Marion County Jail with no bond. He will be taken to Clark County to face charges.
