LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Butler Traditional High School and Iroquois High School in Louisville will have increased security in the morning after someone made a threat against both schools.

A message was sent out on Snapchat telling students at both schools to stay home because a JROTC student had been talking about shooting up the school.

According to JCPS, the threat is not credible, but both schools will start the day on an increased security level March 9.

Parents should have received alerts from their respective school principals.
