LOUISVILLE, KY. (WHAS11) -- One person is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Greenbelt Highway.

According to police, the crash happened around shortly after 2 a.m. Friday just past Lower River Road.

The vehicle was traveling southbound when the operator lost control. The vehicle crossed into the median and overturned as it crossed into the northbound lanes. According to the report, the driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. That person was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner's office identified that person as 20-year-old Bri'an Perry.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The identity of the passenger has not been released.
