LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear joined attorney generals from West Virginia and Ohio to host a summit in Huntington, WVa., today to discuss the opioid crisis gripping the region.

Citizens, police, counselors, educators and faith-based groups all met at a church to discuss ways to stop the epidemic and support those affected by addiction.

Beshear’s office also helped secure $2 million to fund Rocket Docket programs which expedite drug-related cases through the courts to get offenders into treatment.
