Identity released of Carbide Industries employee who died Thurs.

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The identity of the man who died at Carbide Industries has been released.

Patrick Jason Childers, 38, was fatally injured on Thursday morning, Feb. 15.

Carbide Industries said the accident happened at their Bells Lane facility in Louisville. MetroSafe says the incident was reported at 4:27 a.m.

Officials say electrocution is suspected. He was transported to the emergency room at University of Louisville Hospital and pronounced at 5:21 a.m.

Heather Davis, the director of Human Resources at Carbide Industries, said the company takes safety seriously. The company is working with government authorities to determine the cause of the incident.
