LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kentuckiana has a new tool to help catch cancer early.

Metro Council and KentuckyOne Health unveiled the "Horses and Hope" mobile cancer screening unit on March 10.

It will provide free or heavily reduced cost cancer screenings if you can't afford the regular checkups.

KentuckyOne Health teamed up with UofL's James Graham Brown Cancer Center to raise more than $1 million to pay for the van.

The van will eventually screen for seven different types of cancer.
