LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – The coroner has identified a teenager who was found dead in the parking lot of a Chili’s restaurant in West Buchel Saturday night.

Coroner Eddie Robinson has identified the victim as 17-year-old Troyshawn Young who died from multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

Police were called to the parking lot of the Chili’s location in the 3600 block of Bardstown Road just before 11 p.m.

Officers believed the shooting happened in the parking lot but later determine the shooting happened in the 3100 block of Del Brook Avenue.

According to investigators, Young and another victim drove to the location when they were trying to get to a hospital but stopped there for help.

Upon arrival, officers located Young inside the vehicle where he died around 11:05 p.m.

The other victim was transported to University Hospital and is expected to be okay.

Police did not further elaborate on the shooting and are unsure of the relationship between the victims.

No arrests have been made but officers are hoping witnesses can help with the investigation.

There are no suspects at this time.
