UPDATE: Roberson was arrested on Feb. 7.

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Elizabethtown police are looking for a man they say was involved in a murder in the 300 block of Diecks Drive on Sunday, Feb. 4.

The police responded to the homicide shortly after 11:00 p.m. Sunday in response to a report of multiple shots fired.

When they arrived on the scene, they discovered a man lying on the ground in a parking lot in the area. The man was identified as 20-year-old Xedric McNeil, of Elizabethtown, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department. McNeil was later pronounced dead from apparent gunshot wounds.

EPD said a warrant was issued for 29-year-old Charles Roberson Jr., of Elizabethtown. Roberson is facing charges of murder and wanton endangerment.

EPD said Roberson's whereabouts are not known at this time but he should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

The police department is seeking the public's help in locating Roberson and are also encouraging him to turn himself in.
