CLARKSVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) – Police have a person of interest after a Louisville Metro Corrections officer was shot Saturday night.

Clarksville Police responded to a home in the 100 block of East Carter Avenue around 10:45 p.m. after reports of shots fired.

When officers arrived, they found the victim with a non-life threatening injury sustained from a gunshot wound. He was released from the hospital Sunday morning.

According to a report, the victim told officers the suspect had fled the scene and was able to give them a description and the person’s name.

Police said the suspect has been located and is cooperating with the investigation.

The victim’s name is being withheld.

No other information has been released as the investigation is ongoing.
