Man wanted in March carjacking captured in southern Ind.

Metro Police say Cory Dupin, 33, carjacked a man along Dixie Highway in March, driving away at a high rate of speed with the victim hanging from the vehicle.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A man accused of a carjacking is back in Louisville after he was captured in southern Indiana.

Metro Police say Cory Dupin, 33, carjacked a man along Dixie Highway in March, driving away at a high rate of speed with the victim hanging from the vehicle.

Police say Dupin dragged the victim for nearly two city blocks causing severe, life-changing injuries that he continues to be treated for to this day.

According to the Dubois County Herald, Indiana State Troopers arrested Dupin the next day after he reportedly crashed the stolen vehicle near Birdseye, Indiana.

Dupin was lodged for several weeks at the Dubois County Jail in Jasper.

He was booked in Metro Corrections Friday and is being held on a $25,000 bond.

Dupin is expected to be arraigned on Apr. 23.
