Man at center of Louisville traffic stop caught on camera arraigned

LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) – The man who was in a violent altercation with Louisville police faced a judge Wednesday morning, Dec. 12.

Jarrus Ransom is charged with resisting arrest, drug possession, and illegal window tinting.

The arrest report states he was pulled over for illegal window tint but started "acting suspicious".

Police said they found a Pepsi can in the center console of his car and when they poured it out pills fell to the ground.

They said Ransom lunged at the officers, trying to destroy the pills.

Metro Police said an investigation into Sunday's violent traffic stop is underway, but the chief said it will be weeks until body camera video from his officers is released.
