LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS 11)--One of the two former LMPD officers charged in a sex abuse case faced a judge early Monday.

Kenneth Betts was arraigned on two counts of sodomy.

LMPD's Public Integrity Unit began investigating Betts and another now former officer, Brandon Wood, back in October when a person came forward claiming he'd been raped and sexually abused as a member of LMPD's Youth Explorer Program.

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer suspended the program soon after.

Betts already posted his bond and he's due back in court for a pretrial conference on June 19.

Wood was arraigned on April 17.
