Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The founders of a popular local ice cream chain are stepping down after selling their remaining stake in the business.

Tim Koons-McGee launched The Comfy Cow in 2009.

According to our partners at the Courier-Journal, it will now be owned by Louisville investor Chip Hamm.

Hamm has been part of a development and investment team with The Comfy Cow since 2010. Hamm confirmed Friday that he's now the sole owner of the chain.
