LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – If you’re thinking of retiring locally, you may want to think again.
The personal finance company Bankrate ranked the 50 largest cities U.S. metro areas and Louisville came in at number 48.
Many factors were used in the study which includes healthcare quality, taxes, crime rates, living costs, public transportation, the percentage of the population over 65 and well-being for seniors.
Louisville scored well in cost of living and taxes but got poor rankings for public transit and well-being.
The top cities were Pittsburgh, followed by Boston and Los Angeles.
Nashville was ranked 14th, Cincinnati 35th and Indianapolis was 46th.
