LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

This year's AnimeCon at the Louisville Free Public Library's Main Library has a great lineup presentation starting with a screening of the popular Yuri on Ice, which will have the complete experience with a tea party and an indoor “ice”-skating rink.

Those in attendance can compete and win prizes in the sixteenth annual Ramen-eating and cosplay contests, learn the art of shibori with artist Elmer Lucille Allen, listen to Japanese ghost stories, attend a K-Pop glow-in-the-dark party, and do Anime inspired crafts.

AnimeCon 16 is Friday, Aug. 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library (301 York Street) for those between the ages 12 and 19.

You can register for this free convention at Library foundation website.
