Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - An annual holiday tradition continues as The Brown Hotel unveils its newest gingerbread creation, and this year, it’s the entire Louisville skyline.

The display, titled “Ginger City,” was created by The Brown Hotel's culinary team, including pastry chef Jaclyn Joseph and assistants Makenzie Letner and Jessica Marasigan.

The gingerbread cityscape took more than 140 hours of work, and it is 6 feet long, 3 feet high and 4 feet wide. The cookie sculpture is made of 70 pounds of gingerbread and 25 pounds of royal icing.

It will be displayed throughout the holiday season in the hotel's lobby, next to a two-story Christmas tree.

The Brown Hotel will offer holiday meals for Christmas and New Year's Eve. Call (502) 583 1234 or visit brownhotel.com to make a reservation.
