Local residents weren't the only ones impacted by severe flooding earlier this year. Many riverfront restaurants suffered major damage and some still have not been able to open, leaving people out of work. A Louisville-based non-profit has stepped in to help those independent restaurants and employees in their time of financial need. Gary Fox joined us from Apron Inc. along with Chef Jon Pauly and Jared Fox Matthews from Lou Lou Food & Equus Jack’s with details on the 2018 A Taste of Independents fundraiser and food tasting, featuring samples from over 30 of Louisville’s top chefs. The 2018 A Taste of Independents is being held Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 1 PM – 4 PM at The Olmsted, located at 3701 Frankfort Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky.
