I’ve been saying for years, that Louisville has a large talent pool in all genres of music. I’ve see this man out and about and we talked one day and he told me he was a hip hop artist. We had been friends on social media for a while so I could watch his progress. Currently, he gets a few spins in the Louisville area but if you travel to other cities in the area, fans know his music and some even wear a tattoo with his name and symbol. Dusty Leigh has opened for Ohio natives Bone Thugs & Harmony and now I’ve learned that he will be on the "Never Say Die" with Bubba Sparxxx which is scheduled to begin sometime in May or early June.
When Dusty isn’t in the studio working on his craft he’s actually promoting events. He hosted a free hip-hop show last week where Struggle Jennings, the grandson t country music legend Waylon Jennings, Haystak and Jef Jon Sin all performed. Dusty is currently on the "Return of the Outlaw Tour" with Jennings. Dusty was happy with the turnout and is planning to host future events for his supporters. “I felt like the whole city came out to witness something they helped create. It was truly an inspirational day in my career to feel so much love and support in my hometown!”
The Fairdale High graduate is hoping to get more exposure from the tour and his latest single entitled "Get By" featuring Bubba Sparxxx. His last project, Risky Business with the single “No Day Job” is still creating some buzz. At this point, he may not need a day job because it appears that his career is definitely taking a turn for the good.
