Before the start of Sunday night’s NBA All-Star Game, the tradition of singing Star-Spangled Banner took a new twist with singer Fergie.
The “Fergalicious” singer did a jazz-like take on the anthem and it featured weird runs and notes.
Well, let’s just say it didn’t particularly go over well on social media.
One user said, "Honestly went in to Fergie’s National Anthem with an open mind. But I couldn’t stop thinking about a 1920’s badly performed slow jitterbug. #NBAAllStar"
Even Charles Barkley and Shaquille O'Neal couldn't believe what they heard. They discussed the bizarre performance through the halftime report.
So far, no word from Fergie.
