LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Highlands hot spot, dubbed the “finest, eclectic hillbilly headquarters” will close their doors Saturday.

The Monkey Wrench has been a staple at Barrett and Winter Avenues for 12 years providing music, food and a variety of bourbons.

Owner Dennie Humphrey said it’s time to move on with his other interests like GonzoFest.

The Monkey Wrench will finish off its run with a Grateful Dead-meets-bluegrass show at 8 p.m.
