Echostar - Dish Network special announcement

As of December 1, 2006 distant Network signals will no longer be available on Dish Network in the Louisville Market . WHAS-TV does not grant waivers for ABC Network programming distributed by any entity other than WHAS-TV. To receive this programming via satellite please contact your satellite provider and subscribe to their local channel package. The parties involved are continuing to work toward finding a settlement that will prevent disruption for many viewers. However, in the event you are affected by this court's order, we want to make you aware of the other options you have. They include:

1. Free Over-The-Air Television - This free option may be enhanced with an indoor or outdoor antenna.
2. Cable Television - You can find information about the cable television options in your community by going to: www.ncta.com.
3. Satellite Television - Other than DISH Network, satellite television can also be received from DirecTV. Information about DirecTV can be found by visiting www.directv.com.
4. Broadband Internet Providers - In some markets, broadband Internet providers such as Verizon (www.verizon.com), AT&T (www.att.sbc.com), and RCN (www.rcn.com) offer television services.

We understand that you are frustrated that you may lose access to some distant network signals, but encourage you to explore the above options to receive your network broadcast channels.
