Heather Fountaine - Reporter

Heather Fountaine joined the WHAS 11 News team in July 2015.

Born and raised in a small town in northeast Connecticut, Heather has wanted to be a journalist since the age of 14. From high school morning announcements to her school newspaper, Heather has always enjoyed learning about people and current events.

Her broadcast career kicked off in Abilene, Texas when she worked for KXVA FOX as a General Assignment Reporter.  She's had the opportunity to cover a wide range of stories, from feel good stories like military homecomings at Dyess Air Force Base to tragedies, like the 2015 flooding in South Carolina.

Heather graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2013.

Heather's favorite things include boating on the water, Syracuse basketball, her family and an occasional night of two-stepping, complete with cowboy boots.

Heather is very excited to call Louisville her new home and share your stories.

If you have a story idea, you can email her at hfountaine@whas11.com or follow her on Twitter @WHAS11Heather .
